In another month we will be halfway through 2025. It’s hard watch or read the news without some sort of panic story about the economy.

I’m not an economist, but I have been helping people buy and sell real estate for over 20 years. One thing hasn’t changed. If people are prepared, they will be able to make their move. Of course, one has to be realistic. A ranch home in the “717” on 20 acres with a pond and horse stalls is not available for $250,000. If you know of one, let me know. I’m all in!

The Reality: People are buying homes. They are selling homes. I spend a lot of time listening to my clients. After that, I offer advice and present a plan. Then it’s off to the races. I’d like to think other people in my business are doing this too.

Some Perspective: I currently have 7 properties under contract. Four of those are buyers. Did those clients need to think outside the box when making an offer? Yes. Did they go beyond their comfort level. Nope.

This isn’t to say our country doesn’t have a big problem. There is a housing shortage. Rents are pushing people’s budgets. I have my thoughts on how to help alleviate that (zoning laws that allow accessory dwelling units, converting commercial buildings to residential, etc …) – but in the meantime speak to someone about your goals. I’m always available.
